Description

Feature

Anti-magnetic: The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Chronograph: Complicated watch with a function for measuring short time periods in addition to its function for permanently displaying hours, minutes and seconds.
Chronometer: Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
Date: The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial typically at the 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock position.
Helium escape valve: Decompression system which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn for professional use in pressure chambers. (Long-term underwater work, crude oil exploration, etc.)
Screw-in crown: Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers' watches.
Small seconds: A hand on a sub-dial which tracks seconds typically it completes a full rotation in one minute.
Transparent case back: A transparent case back - frequently made of sapphire - makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
Unidirectional rotating bezel: A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.

Since 1993, the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M has enjoyed a legendary following. Today’s modern collection has embraced that famous ocean heritage and updated it with OMEGA’s best innovation and design.

This 44 mm chronograph model is crafted from 18K Sedna™ gold and includes a laser-ablated black ceramic bezel ring with a polished diving scale. The pushers are also polished black ceramic, as well as the dial, which features laser-engraved waves in a positive relief and a date window at 6 o’clock.

The subdial rings and hands are in 18K Sedna™ gold, while the central hands and indexes are 18K Sedna™ gold and filled with white Super-LumiNova.

The watch is presented on a rubber strap and is driven by the OMEGA Master Chronometer Calibre 9901, which can be seen through the sapphire-crystal on the wave-edged caseback.

Twice as precise as any officially certified chronometer

Our Master Chronometer watches are tested and certified twice. Firstly, the movement is tested by the Official Swiss Chronometer Control (COSC) with precision criteria of -4/+6 seconds per day. Then the complete watch and its movement undergo eight Master Chronometer tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) with criteria of 0/+5 Seconds per day.

Proprietary anti-magnetic materials

Everyday items such as mobile phones, metal clasps on handbags, laptops, MRI, induction hobs or automatic doors; subject a watch to magnetic fields and can affect its performance for good. To prevent the risk of permanent deviations of up to several minutes a day we've conceived movements with antimagnetic materials, such as the silicone balance spring, capable of withstanding the highest fields.

Extended service intervals

Each Master Chronometer is equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, conceived to reduce the mechanical constraints inside the movement. This significantly reduces the need for lubrication and hence the need for servicing. All mechanical movements need to be serviced periodically, but an OMEGA Master Chronometer offers more time between servicing than many other watches.

Shock-resistance

A selection of test watches face shock-resistance examinations that are equivalent to 5,000 g (1 g is equal to the force of gravity at the Earth's surface) to ensure our complex mechanical mechanisms are also extraordinarily robust. Not just for everyday use but for active sports such as golf and sailing.

Water-resistance

To ensure the integrity of our timepieces at depth, not just some but all watches are fully immersed in water and pressure is applied up to the point of the guaranteed water resistance. By submerging each watch in water we have chosen – yet again – to exceed normal testing standered.

Durability

Our watches are engineered to the highest standards and certified as such. Each watch destined to become a Master Chronometer must first pass 8 stringent tests. The examinations we perform for precision, magnetic-resistance, power reserve and water-resistance allow us to cover the certified watches with a comprehensive 5-year warranty.
